Privacy policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

Weektender is a calendar app. This page explains what information it handles, why, and the choices you have. You can read it without signing in.

Information we collect

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your information.

How we use it

Only to run the service: sign you in, show and edit your calendars, send invitation emails you request, build the public pages and feeds you choose to publish, and extract events from links or PDFs you submit.

Google Calendar

Signing in with Google never gives Weektender access to your calendars. Calendar access is a separate connection you choose to make. If you do, we ask to list your calendars, read and write events on them, and create a new secondary calendar. We use that access only to show and change the Google-hosted calendars you pick, inside Weektender. Our refresh token is stored encrypted, and you can disconnect from Settings at any time; revoking access in your Google account works too.

Weektender's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google data for advertising, do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the features you use, and do not allow people to read it except as needed for security, to comply with law, or with your consent.

Importing events

When you import from a link or PDF, the text of that page or file is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to find the events in it. Nothing is added to a calendar until you review and confirm it. If this feature is not configured, imports are unavailable rather than simulated.

Sharing

New calendars are private. A calendar is visible to others only if you invite them, or publish a public page, unlisted link, or subscription feed. Anyone with an unlisted link or feed address can see that calendar's events, so share those addresses with care. You can turn publishing off, or regenerate the addresses, at any time.

Service providers

We rely on hosting, email delivery, Google (if you use it), and Anthropic (for imports) to operate. They process data only to provide those services to us.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. Deleting a calendar removes its events and sharing. To delete your account and everything associated with it, contact us. Backups may keep copies for a short time afterwards.

Children

Weektender is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell signed-in users.
